FAQ's
Everything you wanted to ask about SALTD.
High-sodium, zero-sugar, built for dizzy, tired humans. Here’s the straight-talk version of what SALTD is, who it’s for, and how to use it without guessing.
How, when and how much to drink.
Always layer SALTD on top of guidance from your own doctor. Think of this as practical, lived-experience advice, not a prescription.
What is SALTD, in simple terms?
+
SALTD is a high-sodium electrolyte powder you mix with water. It’s built for people who need more than “a pinch of salt” to feel vaguely human again — especially those managing conditions that affect blood volume, heart rate and circulation.
It’s zero sugar, uses a lean ingredient profile, and is designed to be easy to read and use on brain fog days.
How much sodium is in one sachet?
+
Each serving contains around 1200 mg of sodium. That’s deliberately higher than most “sports” drinks because SALTD is created with dysautonomia, PoTS and chronic fatigue communities in mind, where sodium and fluid loading are often discussed with doctors.
Always follow the sodium limits and guidance you’ve been given by your healthcare team. SALTD does not replace medical advice.
When should I drink SALTD during the day?
+
It depends on your routine and medical guidance, but a common pattern looks like:
• 1 stick in the morning with at least 500–750 ml of water
• A second stick later in the day on heavy symptom / flare days
Many people sip it slowly over 1–2 hours rather than downing it in one go. Others drink part of it and chase with plain water.
Stick within any sodium limits agreed with your doctor. If you’re unsure what those limits are, ask them before adding SALTD.
Be honest. How salty does it taste?
+
Very. That’s the whole point.
Early testers describe it as “salty but worth it” and “a 7/10 on taste, 9/10 on symptom support.” SALTD is built to prioritise function first, flavour second.
You can make it easier to drink by:
• Mixing with more water (e.g. 750–1000 ml instead of 500 ml)
• Serving it ice cold
• Sipping it slowly rather than chugging
Can I use SALTD every day?
+
Lots of people in our community use high-sodium hydration daily as part of their management plan, especially when advised to increase sodium and fluids.
The real answer: it depends on your health, meds and sodium limits. If in doubt, bring the nutrition panel to your next appointment and ask directly.
If you’ve been told to follow a low-sodium or salt-restricted diet, do not add SALTD on top unless your doctor explicitly approves it.
Simple. High-sodium. No kitchen-sink nonsense.
We stripped the formula right back so you know exactly what you’re drinking — especially if you’re already juggling meds and supplements.
Sodium (per serve)
Potassium for nerve + muscle
Magnesium for calm + contraction
Plus citric acid, flavour, and stevia glycosides for a clean, subtle taste.
What exactly is in SALTD?
+
You’ll typically see:
• Sodium from carefully selected salts
• Potassium and magnesium as supporting electrolytes
• Citric acid for acidity and sharpness
• Natural flavouring
• Sweetener (stevia glycosides)
No sugar. No caffeine. No hidden multivitamin blend that clashes with everything else you’re already taking.
Always check the live ingredient list on-pack for the most accurate, up-to-date information.
Why didn’t you add caffeine, vitamins or extra “boosters”?
+
Because most of our community are already managing complex health situations. The last thing you need is a mystery cocktail of extras in your drink.
SALTD is built to be predictable, simple and easier on sensitive systems. Our job is to deliver sodium and core electrolytes. If you want caffeine or vitamins, you can choose those separately and on purpose.
Is SALTD vegan / gluten free?
+
The formula is designed to be as widely accessible as possible. Check the product page and pack for current allergen and suitability statements (for example vegan, gluten free, etc.), as these have to be kept fully up to date for compliance.
What SALTD is — and what it isn’t.
SALTD lives in the real world: chronic illness, flare days, dizzy school runs. It is not a magic fix or a medical treatment.
Is SALTD a medical product or treatment?
+
No. SALTD is a food supplement / hydration support product, not a medicine or medical device.
It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. It’s designed to support hydration routines alongside the medical care you already receive.
If you’re under medical supervision, pregnant, breastfeeding or managing a health condition, speak with a healthcare professional before using any high-sodium product.
Can I take SALTD if I have high blood pressure or heart / kidney issues?
+
Do not use SALTD if you’ve been told to follow a low-sodium or salt-restricted diet (for example due to blood pressure, heart or kidney conditions) unless your doctor has explicitly said it’s appropriate for you.
When in doubt, treat the answer as “check with your doctor first” before adding any high-sodium product.
Is SALTD safe for teenagers?
+
Sodium needs vary with age, size, medical conditions and medications. If you’re considering SALTD for anyone under 18, the safest move is to run the nutrition panel past their doctor first.
Can I mix SALTD with my current meds or supplements?
+
SALTD doesn’t contain caffeine or a big vitamin stack, which reduces some interaction headaches — but sodium itself can still matter for certain conditions and medications.
If you’re on prescription meds, diuretics, blood pressure medication or have any kidney/heart history, get the all-clear from your doctor before adding SALTD regularly.
Practical stuff: shipping, stock and what’s next.
We’re a small brand, not a faceless giant. If something goes wrong with your order, there are actual humans on the other side.
Where is SALTD made?
+
SALTD is manufactured in the UK in facilities that follow strict quality and safety standards.
Keeping production local lets us stay close to the process, iterate quickly with feedback from the chronic illness community, and avoid mystery formulas from who-knows-where.
Do you ship internationally?
+
At launch, we’re focusing on UK shipping. As we grow and learn from early customers, we’ll expand into new regions.
If you’re outside the UK and want SALTD in your country, tell us. Demand genuinely influences where we open up next.
Will you do salt tablets, chews or higher mineral blends?
+
Yes. This is only product one.
On the roadmap:
• Salt tablets for grab-and-go
• Chews for people who struggle with big fluid volumes
• Higher mineral blends for those who need more than “standard”
We’ll build all of this with the community, not just for it. Your feedback will decide what ships next.

We can’t give medical advice, but we can explain what’s in SALTD and how people typically use it so you can discuss it with your doctor.
